Vintage Brake Levers – Fixing Bent/Jammed Cable Anchor Pin
Posted by on in BrakesDetails
The cable anchor pins in the brake levers on my vintage road bike were bent, closing the slot used to remove/install the cable, and crimping the old cables in place. I needed the straighten the pins enough to open the slot so I could remove the old cables and install new ones. The bike is a 1974 Atala Grand Prix. The brake levers are not marked, but the center pull brakes are Weinmann.
