How To Remove Freewheel From Hub With Cut Spokes/Without Rim

Posted by on in Freewheels & Cassettes, Hubs

I show how to remove a freewheel from a hub without a rim. The preferable method is to remove the freewheel from the wheel first, then cut the spokes. But stuff happens. Using this method, you can remove the freewheel without damaging either the freewheel or hub. You will need a chainwhip and a solid bench vise. Also an appropriate freewheel remover tool. BTW, I purposely cut this hub from the wheel just for the video.
